Just providing a pretty makeup doesn't always fit the bill in applying bridal makeup.
The bride will be the main attraction of her own show. She as well as the bridesmaids, mothers, flower girl and groomsmen will be photographed and video taped. The photography and wedding costs are high, and family and friends will be looking at the photos and remembering the event for years to come.
The makeup artist needs a basic knowledge of photography, lighting, and which makeup will give the longest and best coverage. Not everyone is a model and the makeup artist needs to work with any face shape, skin tone, ethnicity and skin condition
that sits down in the makeup chair.
The makeup artist must be knowledgeable of what will work, and what won't in foundation, concealers, blush tones and textures. The artist must create a makeup that not only is individual to the person in the chair, but provide a nice flow of style throughout the wedding party.
